Founded in 2020, Silence & Sound is the music lover’s hub for all things new sounds. 

 

It’s a one woman show from me, Katie Hillier, a freelance music journalist and PR based in the south of England, and this is the place for me to share my passion for the best new music with likeminded people. 

 

Here, you will find the most exciting new sounds currently emerging from the indie scene through live and album reviews, as well as exclusive artist interviews. 

 

You’ll also find The Polaroid Project, Silence & Sound’s sister project, launched in 2023, documenting the musicians coming through Bristol on tour, and the line-ups at the most exciting local festivals. 

 

And if you want to keep up with all my music endeavours, I’m a regular freelancer for Bristol 24/7, as well as the editor (and occasional contributor) for Bristol-based culture and music print publication Resonate Magazine.
